 BEFORE YOU REGISTER

FOR THE DC AMERICA'S BRITISH RELIABILITY RUN

The DC Area BBR is not just about a great drive in the country - it's about helping kids. Specifically, kids whose parents put their lives at risk so that we can play with old cars.

Again this year, our selected charity is
Our Military Kids which reaches out to children with a parent deployed to a dangerous place, who is suffering the stress of not knowing whether or when that parent is coming home, and in what condition, if and when they do. This stress can alter their behavior, affecting their performance in school and in myriad other ways. Our Military Kids steps in to fund tutors, after-school and extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, the arts, whatever it takes to keep that kid and his or her family on an even keel.

No more than thirty teams will be accepted to run this year's DC ABRR. Each team will be asked to make its very best effort to raise money for Our Military Kids.

NOW...
ARE YOU UP FOR IT?

The first step in the process is to complete our registration form.  You can access the form here:

Print out the form, complete it and then you can either a) submit your form and a check for the registration fee by snail mail to Joe Barta at the address on the first page of the form, or b) you can scan and email the form to Joe at jbarta4@gmail.com and make your payment online by purchasing one ticket per team at The DCBRR Payment Site.

The application fee covers a host of common team expenses such as route books, breakfast, lunch and dinner and other miscellaneous expenses. It also covers the repair truck and flatbed retainers that sweep the route behind the last car, along with a "Car of Shame" for use in the unlikely event that your old British car proves unreliable. It does not cover the cost of repairs.

Once you've registered reserve a room at the The George Washington Hotel by calling 540-678-4700, and specify to the reservations person that you want the “British Reliability Run” block. The block/pricing ends 9/12/24.

Gas, speeding fines and bail bond fees (just kidding; of course no one would do that), car repairs and the like are the responsibility of each team.

Registrations will be accepted starting February 12, 2024 on a first-come-first-served basis.  We will announce when all thirty spots are filled and begin a wait list.
